Whalehead Club

The Whalehead Club on Corolla Island was the winter residence of Edward Knight and his wife Marie LeBel. It was built from 1922-1925 and cost $385,000. It included a basement, an elevator and a swimming pool, all three were firsts for the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
